Who we are

A gold desk that pays its own way, and a mining ambition that has not been oversold.

JED-CONFRA was incorporated in February 2015 and began trading gold in March 2019. The business today is aggregation: buying from licensed small-scale producers and licensed traders in the Eastern and Bono corridors, assaying and weighing in front of the seller, and moving sealed lots under contracted security.

The second ambition is mining, through a separate special purpose vehicle for each asset. We hold no mineral right today and the mining page says so in the first paragraph. A company that overstates where it stands once is never quite believed again, and in this trade belief is most of the balance sheet.

Where mining actually stands

Leadership

Who you are dealing with.

Two owners, both reachable. A counterparty should never have to guess who stands behind a company before wiring against it.

How we work

Three rules that have not changed since 2019.

  • The seller sees the scale and the assay, always
  • What is written on the ticket is what is written in the file
  • A lot we cannot account for is a lot we do not buy

Come and see the desk.

Counterparties running diligence are welcome at Kwabeng. It is easier to judge a trading operation by standing in it than by reading about it.
